Good News Breakfast key for Project SHARE Christmas program

Hundreds of families will have food on the table and kids will have toys under the tree on Christmas Day, thanks to the huge support folks in Niagara Falls show for the annual Good News Breakfast.

The 28th annual breakfast itself, taking place this year at the Greg Frewin Theatre on Friday, Dec. 7, is actually the culmination of a month of hard work by students at city schools and employees at businesses both large and small, collecting toys, food and financial donations to help fund Project SHARE’s annual Christmas program.

That program is expected to see demand meet or exceed last year’s level, when 4,400 people received gifts or food. As of Monday, 936 families had already registered as beneficiaries, said Pam Sharp, Project SHARE’s director of community engagement.
